Aunt Pat's Candied Carrots

(taken from a notebook she made for me when I got married ~Linda)

Aunt Pat's Candied Carrots

  • 1 lb carrots

  • ½ cup margarine

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • cinnamon to taste


*Scrape carrots into thin strips.

*In medium saucepan, simmer carrots in enough water to cover until vegetable is tender, then drain carrots and empty water from pan and remove carrots.

*In same pan, melt margarine then add brown sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon.  Stir and add carrots.  Cook, turning until carrots are glazed.
